- FARM NEWS: This winter, for the first time, we are adorning our baby calves with jackets to keep them warm during the cold months. This way, their energy is used for growing big and strong instead of keeping out the cold!
- PARTNERSHIP WITH GENERAL MILLS – We have been working with General Mills on this project for some time, and construction is now well underway for an ice cream facility near our farm which will use China’s best milk to make one of the world’s most famous ice cream brands for the Chinese market.
- LAND O’ LAKES PARTNERSHIP: Over the last few years, we have been building a strong relationship with Land O’Lakes, the large US farming and food processing company whose name is most likely to be spotted here on imported cheese products in our supermarkets. In particular, we have been working with them on animal nutrition, for example corn sourcing and forage growing (corn silage and alfalfa). We analyze closely the links between the type and quality of animal feed and the health of our cows and the quality of their milk. We work with Land O’Lakes on educating interested dairy farmers from all over China on how to produce higher quality milk.
